Comforted and other seniors in our St. Barnabas family for lunch and fellowship, encouragement and opportunities to embrace the concept of godly aging.  You will be challenged through teaching and testimonies to continue to be fruitful as you live out your passions according to the bibical vision and expectation of deepening growth and value in service to God and others as we age.

The Season of Lent
Wednesday, February 14th is the beginning of the Season of Lent.  We will have services of Holy Eucharist with imposition of ashes at 10:08 a.m. (School Service), 12 noon, and at 6:30 p.m.
"Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return," BCP 265

Join us on Fridays during Lent at 5:30 p.m. for a  brief  stations of the cross liturgy (about 20 minutes).  The journey of Jesus as he carried his cross to Calvary is remembered in prayer and meditation.  

Holy Week Schedule 2017

 Sun, March 25 – Palm Sunday Holy Eucharist at 7:30, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

                Includes the reading of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ According to Mark.  Begins in the                   Pavilion at 7:30, and in the Canterbury Garden at 9:00 and 11:00.  Children's Church will begin                  in the Children's Ministry Room after the procession for the 9:00 and 11:00 services.

 Mon., Tue., Wed, March 26, 27, 28 Daily Holy Eucharist at 12:10 in the chapel

 Thurs., March 29 – Maundy Thursday – Holy Eucharist at 12:10 and 7:00 p.m. 

                 Later service includes foot washing and stripping of the altar, and is followed by the                                     all-night Maundy Watch in the chapel.

 Fri., March 30 Good Friday – Noon to 3:00 p.m.

                 Includes Stations of the Cross, choral music, Veneration of the Cross, and communion from                         reserved sacraments.

 Sat., March 31The Great Easter Vigil – 7:00 p.m.

  Includes lighting of the Paschal Candle for the new year.  Children participate in the service,             and then will have age-appropriate worship in the Children’s Ministry Room during the                   sermon time before coming back into the church for communion.

Sun., April 1Easter Sunday – 7:30, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.  Festive Eucharist. 

     EGG HUNTS follow the 9:00 service- nursery age in the Rose Garden, older kids in the                   Canterbury Garden.  EASTER PARTY for adults and children in the Harwood Center following        the 9:00 service. 

Dinner Date and Devotion

Join us on the third Friday night of each month. Couples will enjoy dinner, 30 minutes of marriage-related devotional group study, and an hour of free time to connect with your spouse one-on-one, on or off campus.  The study will follow the book Becoming Soul Mates by Les & Leslie Parrott.  No preparation or book purchase is necessary.  A donation of $10/couple to help with the cost of food is requested.
